Research Profile PD Dr. med. Judith Everts-Graber

Research focus

The research group led by PD Dr. med. Judith Everts-Graber investigates the real-world effectiveness and safety of various osteoporosis medications using a nationwide registry from the Osteoporosis Platform Switzerland. A key advantage of this registry is the availability of data on treatment sequences, as well as long-term trends in fractures and changes in bone mineral density.

A current project, commissioned by the "Alliance Against Osteoporosis," analyses the cost-effectiveness of coordinated post-fracture care. Another major focus of Everts’ research group is the prediction of individual fracture risk, utilising artificial intelligence methods. The aim of this multicentre project, conducted in collaboration with ETH Zurich, is to provide personalised risk assessments and predict treatment responses for osteoporosis patients.
